Computer viruses pose real threats that can be minimal, or can cause worldwide destruction.

In computer security technology circles, the definition of a computer virus is a "self-replicating program that spreads by inserting copies of itself into other executable code or documents". A computer virus behaves in a manner similar to a biological virus, which spreads by inserting itself into living cells.

Once your computer is safely isolated, run your anti virus program, following any virus disinfection prompts as they appear. If you're one of the few people in the world who don't have an anti-virus program on your computer, you'll obviously need to download and install a program before you can run this step of the process.

Once that's been done, reconnect your internet connection and if necessary update your anti virus software with the latest virus signatures and then re-run the software. This should trap anything that has crept through your defenses whilst you were running the first virus scan.

With the advent of the internet, and the subsequent technology explosion came several more advances. These advances have allowed the military to create online environments. Through these online endeavors, the military has stream-lined record keeping practices and made online computer training available to it's members across the globe.
